How has your week been? It's a Wednesday. I recently went on a trip to Bintulu, which is around two and a half hours from Miri. The road to Bintulu is superbly great. The government of Sarawak has done a good job of building the Pan Borneo Highway. It used to take around 3 and a half to 4 hours to arrive in Bintulu from Miri due to small roads, but now, after the highway has been built, it has made travelling much easier.
The sky is amazing. The special thing about this highway is that no toll is collected, so smooth journey from one district to another.
The amazing drive.
I enjoy driving from time to time as a getaway from the daily hustle and bustle. The one thing to do in Bintulu is just to enjoy the food there.
This is what the journey looks like on Google Maps. There are two straight roads from one city to another. The older coastal road is only a one-lane road. So, it takes a bit longer to reach Bintulu. So, I chose the Highway. Miri is located on very near to the sea so all along the way as you are driving, the view of the sea is never out of sight.
After a bit of driving, I reached at around evening. The first stop is food.
I went to Sharing @Bintulu
This is also one of those cities here in Malaysia that has the highest GDP per capita.
This restaurant is famous for Western Inspired food like Chicken Chop, Fish and chips to name a few. There are many restaurants that serve Western Food In Bintulu.

The nice ambience inside. This is the aircon section, and the aircon is cold. A really nice place for you to hang out with your family or just to hang out.

We sat at table 27. There are a lot tables available.
FISH AND CHIPS
Instead of having fries, we had mashed potatoes. Tartar sauce.
The fish they used is not a Dory fish, which is what is commonly found in the supermarket.
I was shocked at how big their fried chicken chop was. This is one huge fish.
Amazing. It comes with fries too.
The macaroni
It is truly delicious. The gravy is mixed well and it blends well with the macaroni inside.
Overall, the food here is delicious. The ambience here is amazing.
