The emergence of the 'nationalistic' side conflicts with pure libertarian ideology.

The pragmatic side of libertarian philosophy says that compromise must be given.

Having borders is one of these pragmatic perspectives (and one I agree with, btw).

The ideology doesn't fit with the reality.

Question :

Is it preferable to have some libertarian based ideology, within political borders?
OR, is it preferable to have NO libertarian based ideology, and no borders?

I find it impossible to see global libertarianism just 'happening'... ergo, it has to have a solid base and spread from somewhere (a political boundary called a country?)
