Today we are going to discuss about web 2.0 platforms and their problems and how hive changing the things. We are still in initial face and we have to see mass adoption of hive, sooner or later we will see it. I think this time will come when web 3.0 platforms start getting hype and it is happening slowly and people understanding the importance of web 3.0 but this time FTX and luna crash spread negativity so this is not good at all but no one can stop the technology to evolve.
Problem with social media followers building
You can build followers by sharing good content and this is basic strategy for any creator to build followers. It is true that you will get more followers on web 2.0 platforms comparing to hive because those platforms has big userbase and even common person using this type of social media so you have more chance to get followers there and other side hive does not have that much reach because it is still in initial time but time will change and technology will evolve.
Now let's talk about the problems in social media followers building. So even you build lots of followers you will not earn enough on these platforms and there is reason behind it and the reason is high competition. Let me give you example of youtube. Some of my friends has good followers on youtube like 10k to 15k and they have gaming, review and health channel. But they are not making much from their google adsense account and the biggest problem is low cpc rate. Not only this but even with 1 lakh followers you are not going to become a millionaire here.
Even big youtubers earning from paid reviews and paid advertisement but they are not making good income from adsense. United States traffic called as a premium traffic and if you target US audience then there is possiblity that you will earn little big but lots of bloggers and vloggers are doing same thing so that is also not make sense because of very high competition and there is less posibility that your content will be consumed by US public.
Not only this but that platform owner can anytime delete your account or content. And you know when your adsense account getting banned that same person can't apply for it again. In short, They have your account control and they can crush your hardwork of years.
Web 2.0 centralized platform monetization system
In youtube, First thing is you Must have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours watch over the past 12 months to apply for monetization unlike hive and similar terms and condition applied in different social media platforms . Hive providing you monetization from day one and for that you just need to engage with other users, share good content and engage with different communities and you will surely see decent result.
And here you have chance to grow more because hive is crypto currency with decent usecases and it will surely give you good return when you hold them.
