The rebbe's are impatient. They believe the timeline has been reached. It's time to bring on moshiach. The only way it can happen according to their literature:

• Tanakh
• Kabbalah
• Talmud
• Zohar
  The total destruction of all mankind (including them) and the earth/sun/moon/stars. Once everything is completely destroyed, the moshiach will come fix it all. Because moshiach can't do anything until it's all destroyed? It's their responsibility to destroy everything for him to come. WTH? Oh the insanity of fairy tales.

On the other hand. The real world is dealing with them working to fulfill what they call prophecies but in reality, it's a long-generational-plan. The only way they're getting away with it is by deception, theft and murder. The people are clueless who's behind it.

At my house we don't need a bunch of extra rules. Only wicked evil demented twisted minds must be ruled over like dogs.

We have 2 rules:
Don't hurt people and Don't hurt people's stuff. You're a person so that includes you.

These 2 rules cover everything. The problem is everyone is intellectually lazy.
