RE: A Typeface for Dyslexics
I'm not an expert (my closest experience with dyslexia is as a teacher, and none of my students needed accommodations for it), but one of the things that is useful for dyslexia is to try and provide

RE: AD ASTRA (film) : Fantastic effects in a movie that really drags (NO SPOILERS)
Man, I keep seeing film studios do this to the point where I'm just about done going to movies unless there's some special discount, and I used to work at a theater. How hard is it to realize that good

RE: Proactive, Active, and Reactive Events in Game Storytelling
Most of this is practical experience, drawn from a mixture of writing for games, writing more generally, and running roleplaying games like D&D and playing in them. I've got a slight academic background,

RE: Hardfork 21 is HAPPENING. What will change?
Have you ever worked as a writer? With things like Patreon tied to another content creation service, people make way more than people make on Steem. Ads suck, but between ads and affiliate links you can

RE: Hardfork 21 is HAPPENING. What will change?
YouTube or personal blogs with ads or writing churn for blogs that pay $10 a piece. It's not glamorous, and you sacrifice a lot of your independence, but it pays better than Steem does right now and there's

RE: Hardfork 21 is HAPPENING. What will change?
Exactly. It's nice, but it's not anything that's going to motivate serious work to be posted to Steem.

RE: Hardfork 21 is HAPPENING. What will change?
My question is this, though: Why do bid-bots not just decrease their overhead? Once they have the liquid STEEM they convert it into SP, and the money that other people could have had by curating they receive

RE: Hardfork 21 is HAPPENING. What will change?
How exactly is the rewards curve changing? Some of us are averaging 5-6 STEEM on a good post, so it would kind of suck if smaller posters got pushed down. I know that there was talk about very small posts

RE: Today in History: "Bambi" is released
It's a shame that nowadays the commercial cycle is so competitive that people don't take as long as they used to. Having films and games that are on a fixed timeframe instead of letting the creators have

RE: Today in History: "Bambi" is released
One of the things I find so incredible about Bambi is that it was made back when everything was done by hand. Doing it now-a-days with the assistance of computers and a lot of the tools that have come

RE: Milestones: 1 year of Steem and more / Ein Jahr bei Steem und mehr als das [Ger/Eng]
Congrats on 60 rep and 500 SP! I'm awful about writing comments. I was pretty good about it for a while, but around June I sort of stopped really commenting except to reply to comments on my own stuff.

RE: Aicu-chan ~ 10 bucks and a tiny AI Steem Monsters Bot progression
The nice thing is that over a long enough time-frame, luck sort of gets filtered out by getting enough results to compare with. Nah, I'm not into Steem Monsters and I have enough uses for my time as it

RE: Escape Velocity: Nova and Bittersweet Games History
Endless Sky is awesome, and it's also free. It's a little bare-bones (or was last I played, I haven't checked out the most recent version), but the actual experience is polished even if it's only a sliver

I know, right? I mean, I've always been something of a binger when it comes to games and media, but only recently have I really been finding myself bored with a lot of stuff. Of course, things have shifted

RE: Aicu-chan ~ 10 bucks and a tiny AI Steem Monsters Bot progression
Wait, is this an AI playing Steem Monsters to find out the best possible setup in the same way @aicu is trying to figure out the best posts on Steem? That's awesome. I don't do Steem Monsters, so I don't

RE: Experiences writing for Role Playing Games (RPG)
If I may, I suggest using #tabletop-rpg for tabletop roleplaying posts; it seems to be what the communities around here use the most. Great post and congrats on the Curie!

RE: Great Games: Morrowind
The graphics are tolerable by modern standards. OpenMW is a little difficult to get up to great visuals (requires a little tweaking), though I believe it now has all the features of the original game plus

RE: Arming For Adventure, or: "Why Would I Want One of Those?" - Basic Equipment in D&D, Part 1
We're kind of polar opposites in the philosophy thing (I let players have anything they might reasonably have, so I don't have to deal with bookkeeping), but figuring out clever uses for things is always

I've played pretty much everything. I'm on a really gimmicky Barbarian build using some of the new enhancement trees (for reference, I self-heal for more HP than I have, use crossbows and attack and do
