RE: Affinity Publisher: Is it Worth It?
It does seem pretty powerful for layout stuff, though I suppose it might depend on your needs. For doing things like that it would certainly suffice. @danmaruschak pointed out that there's a free trial

RE: Affinity Publisher: Is it Worth It?
I wouldn't necessarily get hopes up for an iPad version; there's a lot of emphasis on working with text and stuff. I know you make comics, and I'm not sure what your process is (e.g. if you draw everything

RE: THINGS ARE BUZZING - We want your input (#HIVE #REBRANDING)
I think that having multi-chain operation is probably the easiest solution, with options for choosing where things post (e.g. a dialog box) before publication. Hive looks really great, and I'm excited

I've already voted to try to protect Steem. In any case, I'm not here for the money, I'm here for the community. If those of us Steemians who believe in the community wind up moving somewhere else, I will

RE: Loreshaper Games in 2020
itch.io is fantastic for basically everything except the fact that the market is really small and fragmented, so you're almost always doing a lot of your own marketing and DriveThru does that better for

RE: Loreshaper Games in 2020
I should still be around. I've tended to be a lot less active as a reader just because my master's program is pretty rigorous and I've been trying to do more reading/listening to lectures on the side of

RE: Loreshaper Games in 2020
Well, I've actually been lower on posts recently than I should be once I get things going again, so I wouldn't worry too much. It's not really so much a going away as a "Here are my priorities and

RE: WIN some easy STEEM! 30 STEEM Giveaway - The Gaming Community
Somewhat niche, but I did a write up of a design document for a game I'm working on, which is almost certainly gaming related even if it's not what you'd normally expect.

RE: Velotha's Flock Revised: Korakthropes
I've actually run Velotha's Flock at a con, and it went pretty well. I played with the rules for cards, rather than dice, though the setup is more or less equal for both. Now, obviously I made the game

Yes. That game. I should definitely make that game. For what it's worth, I actually have been working on it, my project timelines just stretch to infinity.

RE: Telling the Stories of the Dead
I think that one of the places people go wrong is that they have a lot of backstory (and you can craft an infinite amount of backstory), and they want that backstory to come out in a way that it never

RE: The Decade in Tabletop Gaming, as told by Dungeons & Dragons
I mean, I have mixed thoughts on it. If you want to create a work that's also an act of political expression, go ahead. I'm a believer in games as art, and art makes statements. However, there's this

RE: The Decade in Video Games, as told by Borderlands 3
I should really go back and finish it off. I've been kind of putting it off thanks to a couple new releases and just having more work and school time demands, but now that I'm mostly done with Borderlands

RE: The Decade in Tabletop Gaming, as told by Dungeons & Dragons
It really depends on the area. Obviously game shops and hobby shops often have groups, since they also tend to carry games. Libraries sometimes have D&D or similar games run on a semi-regular basis.

RE: The Decade in Video Games, as told by Borderlands 3
Well, I sometimes claim to be a professional. I'm not sure it's entirely truthful, because I only make my money as a game designer in the sense that I'm a full-time student for the next year and a half
