If Hive can come up with a streaming platform that pays more than a 7 day payout window and pays out like spotify, youtube etc then it most likely would have a bit of a shot.

A simple weekly contest worked in the past. At a point it had hundreds of participants but funds werent there. In the end they gave out something like 20-50 USD in total. Thats nothing.
We already have infrastructure in place to deliver that at a high level now with funding. Developing anything new if there are not users is imo a waste of time. We first need to use to the fullest what we have.

  1. Funds
  2. Platform that can empower a music community.
  3. And Me, that will do the promotion outside Hive for this.

But the current structure of hive and zero revenue generation is going to be an issue for any real adoption here.

That is what this changes. It creates a simple option with minimal effort for receiving what are essentially starting funds for starting up musicians.
