On my last walk, I decided to explore the picturesque Cotswolds, an area renowned for its charming villages and stunning landscapes. The weather was perfect for a walk—bright sunshine with a gentle breeze, which made the lush green hills even more inviting.

I started my journey in the quaint village of Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the "Venice of the Cotswolds" due to the lovely low bridges and the River Windrush flowing through it. The village was bustling with tourists and locals alike, enjoying the cafes and shops that lined the streets. I paused to admire the pretty stone buildings, which have a warm honey color, and the idyllic little bridges.

In Upper Slaughter, I visited the old mill and the historic church, St. Mary’s, which is a beautiful structure with a fascinating history dating back to the 12th century. The churchyard was also home to an ancient yew tree, which was said to be over a thousand years old!

As I headed back, I took a detour through a small woodland path, where I met a group of young hikers. We struck up a conversation about our favorite walking routes, and they recommended a few hidden gems in the area I hadn’t heard of before. It was nice to connect with fellow nature enthusiasts who shared
