As I walked along the winding paths, I was surrounded by beautiful honey-colored stone cottages, some dating back to the 16th century. I paused to take some photographs of the iconic Willow Tree and the footbridges that cross the River Windrush.
Further along, I stumbled upon a small-scale farmer's market at the village green. Locals were selling everything from homemade jams to artisan cheeses. I met an elderly gentleman named Mr. Fletcher, who had been making cheese for decades. He was more than happy to share his secrets about traditional cheese-making techniques and told me tales of how the craft had evolved over the years in the Cotswolds.
After enjoying a bit of cheese and chatting with some locals, I continued my walk towards Lower Slaughter, a nearby village often praised for its beauty. The path along the river was serene, with ducks paddling lazily and wildflowers dotting the banks.
