As I walked, I spotted a variety of wildlife. The area is renowned for its birdwatching, and I was lucky enough to see several species of waders, including a few curlews and oystercatchers. The salt marshes are also home to many unique plants, and I came across some beautiful sea lavender blooming along the path, which added a lovely pop of color to the landscape.
During my walk, I met a lovely elderly couple who were also enjoying the coast. They were avid birdwatchers and shared stories about the different species that they had observed over the years. It was fascinating to learn about their adventures and the changes they had seen in wildlife patterns over time. They even pointed out a raptor soaring overhead, which they identified as a marsh harrier.
As I continued my walk, I passed by the iconic Blakeney Point, where I took a moment to appreciate the beautiful views of the seals basking on the sandbanks. The sound of the waves and the calls of the seabirds created a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for reflection.
The walk wrapped up with a visit to the quaint village of Blakeney, where I enjoyed a cup of tea at a small café. It was a delightful day filled with nature, history, and friendly conversations—just what I love about exploring England on foot!
