On my last walk, I decided to explore the charming village of Lacock in Wiltshire. As I strolled along the cobbled streets, I was captivated by the picturesque cottages with their thatched roofs and colorful gardens. The village seemed like a step back in time, with its well-preserved medieval architecture.

One of the highlights of my walk was visiting Lacock Abbey, a historic house dating back to the 13th century. The abbey has a fascinating history, having been a nunnery, a Tudor home, and even a location for filming movies such as Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice.

I also enjoyed wandering through the lush greenery of the abbey's grounds, where I encountered a friendly group of fellow history enthusiasts who were also exploring the area. We struck up a conversation about the abbey's history and shared interesting facts we had learned about the village.

Overall, my walk in Lacock was a delightful experience that allowed me to immerse myself in the rich history and natural beauty of this quintessentially English village. It was a perfect day out for a history lover like me!
