This would be my first time snowboarding. I actually feel a bit ashamed that I've never done that before. For a person living in Finland, it's definitely a certain achievement. I would compare this to a wealthy enough person in Fiji who never tries scuba diving or a person in Australia who has never tried surfing. We live only once and if something cool is easy to try and experience, we should go for it, live and enjoy.
So, I'm going to try snowboarding this weekend. This trip is actually with my workmates so our company will pay for everything. What an opportunity! My family is not that into winter sports so we would not use our vacation money in snowboarding center, we would go somewhere warm.
I'm a bit nervous too. I don't know what to expect! Is snowboarding fun? Is it hard? Last time we had a winter-sport-day with my colleagues, I got a bit too excited and this happened:
Yeah, I made some curves in the snow and one curve was a bit too tight. Oops... I was kind of lucky that I flew far and didn't end up under the quad. The tires have approx 1 cm long studs, so they could have hurt me and the quad is also quite heavy. Luckily, the snow was also very fluffy so nothing bad happened. My colleagues were a bit nervous as I was a bit far away and they couldn't see if I'm okay. Let's hope that nothing like this will happen this time! Wish me luck guys. :)
