Me transmite satisfacción.
Ahora quiero invitar a @edward777 y
Before beginning, I want to thank @emiliorios for proposing this interactive activity within the community and, especially,
@leysis for inviting me to participate. I find it interesting when an image can become much more than what our eyes can see, because depending on who looks at it and the moment in life they are in, it can awaken completely different feelings.
The image we are invited to interpret this time shows an elderly woman leaning out of a window. She seems to be looking at something that could be a sunrise and has a small smile on her face. I could simply stay with the idea of a woman observing the landscape, enjoying a moment of tranquility or contemplating the beginning of a new day. However, when I look at it, I inevitably end up imagining myself many years in the future.
I don't know exactly what might be going through that woman's mind. Perhaps she is remembering her life, thinking about someone she loves or simply enjoying the tranquility of that moment. But I want to imagine that smile as the expression of someone who can look back and feel proud of what she has lived. And that is where the image stops speaking to me about her and begins to speak to me about myself.
I would like to reach that age and be able to have a window from which to contemplate my own life. Not necessarily a perfect life, because I know that doesn't exist, but a life that I can recognize as my own. A life in which I have had the courage to pursue my dreams, even those that once seemed too difficult or too far away. I want to imagine myself looking through that window and remembering the goals I once wrote on a list and eventually managed to achieve, thinking about those things that scared me and that I finally dared to do, and remembering the projects that began as simple ideas and little by little became realities.
I would also like to remember the moments when things didn't turn out as I expected. Because I suppose reaching that age doesn't mean having achieved everything one wanted, but having learned to value even those things that didn't go well. Perhaps some goals change, some dreams are left behind and others appear when we least expect them. And that is also part of living. In the end, I don't think a fulfilling life is one in which everything went exactly as we had planned, but one in which, despite the changes and difficulties, we can feel that we truly lived it.
But there is something else I would like to add to my interpretation of this image. I don't want to imagine only a woman alone in front of a window, contemplating her past. When I think about my future, I would like the home to be behind that woman and the people I love to be inside it. I would like to be able to look outside while knowing that, behind me, there is a shared life, memories built together and people with whom I was able to grow and enjoy the journey. Because for me, achieving dreams would not have the same meaning if, when I reach them, I don't have anyone to share them with.
Perhaps that is why that woman's smile conveys something deeper than happiness to me. It conveys satisfaction. The feeling of being able to stop for a moment, breathe and think: it was worth it. I am still very far from that window. I have many years ahead of me, many dreams to discover and many others that I still have to work to achieve. But perhaps precisely because of that, this image feels special to me. It reminds me that the life I will one day contemplate from that window is being built now, with every decision, every effort, every person I choose to have by my side and every small step I take.
And when that moment arrives, I would like to be able to look back with the same calmness and that small smile, knowing that I did everything I could to live a life I could feel proud of.
Now I want to invite @edward777 and
@inela91 to participate in this activity and share what this image conveys to them. Perhaps they will find a completely different story in that window from the one I imagined.
