For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.

A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

The wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin.

Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.

amen

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.

Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.

Learn to guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”— when you already have it with you.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, and when it is in your power to act.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

Turn your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding

The value of self-respect and inner peace became more important than the love and respect from others.

As I grew older, I realized that peace comes from within, not from external sources.
