Hola, buenos dias Liketuers!

Hello, good morning Liketuers! One spring day, more than 8 years ago, she came into our lives. A friend of my wife's was moving away to live somewhere else and gave her to us for adoption. We put her in the yard, where she has plenty of space to roam, and she hasn't left since. In the afternoons she comes out of her hiding spot to eat alongside the dog and the cat. Once I put her in a pond with water, but she wasn't comfortable there and preferred to climb out and stay tucked away instead. Her shell is cracked — in winter she hides away and doesn't come out until the first rains of May, and a thick tree branch broke and fell on her. It doesn't seem to have affected her at all. She's still there, just the same. I don't know her age, but I think she's going to outlive me. That's Cuca, my jicotea (turtle).
