When ever make a promise is always good to fulfil, or is probably good that we don't make promises that we can't fulfil, because there is consequence for not fulfilling it.

Ass Christians we are main to be holy and adhere to the word of God which is filled with the truth, so therefore holiness is what makes us to be settled with our creator.

So our duty is being always commited to the word of God by doing good to all man, and never deviating from the word of God.
