Ode to the Hippopotamus
A Sonnet
by justadoge
My hippopotamus, to you I write.
I love the way you cook, slither and cook,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the account book.
Let me compare you to a clear cafe?
You are more special, grumpy and happy.
Sheer breeze flaps the charming dancers of May,
And the springtime has the random chappie.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your thumb and personality.
Thinking of your content thumb fills my days.
My love for you is the immorality.
Now I must away with a present heart,
Remember my light words whilst we're apart.
