Today I show you how to paint trees like this:
You need: A sheet of paper, watercolors, sponge, paintbrushes
First, grab a sponge and speckle the paper with dots of light green
continue/repeat the same procedure with dots of darker green. Always consider from where the light comes in your picture
leave the picture and wait for the watercolor to dry. When dried, speckle the paper with dots of even darker green to create the shadows.
Now we move on to the tree trunk. With a paintbrush, draw the trunk in brown from the bottom up. After that, grab another clean (just wet) paintbrush and coat the right side of the strunk. That way, the shadow at the left side of the trunk is created.
After that, draw the branches
For the (forest) floor, we can use the sponge again. Basically you can be creative. It should always look good, speckle the paper with spots of different colors and different size. I like the combination of light and dark colors here.
