Chameleons at the Reptile Show

I got a baby giant african bullfrog (or pixie frog) this past weekend. He’s so cute... right now. This little guy will grow to be the size of a football in a very short amount of time. I hope to do size

Meet my new friend Peter, the (soon to be) Giant African Bullfrog! He is currently the size of a quarter, but he will get much bigger than that!

All 3 mantids have molted, and are L3’s now. They have all almost doubled in size and are starting to eat again. Still feeding them fruit flies.

For the last couple days one of the mantids had been refusing food, and I suspected it was getting ready to molt (the process of shedding its exoskeleton). This is a normal behavior they do when they grow

While at the Philadelphia Insectarium, I got a massive fruit fly culture for the mantids to eat. They are getting bigger, and eating a lot. There are actually only 3 left from the original group due to

I had an awesome day at the Philadelphia Insectarium in Northeast Philadelphia, PA. This place is so cool! They have all kinds of insects, arachnids, fish, anphibians, and reptiles on display. They also

The praying mantids have started to eat each other! I had to spread them out into more containers to give them more space to avoid cannibalism. Here you can see one mantid eating another’s abdomen.

This praying mantis nymph is really brave and clever. He has been hanging off of Charles’ mouth for the past 3 hours. He can’t see him in that spot.

The newly hatched mantids are starting to eat! I got them flightless fruit flies, and they seem to like them. Have way too many mantids though at this point so I am still feeding some each day to Charles

Got back from work and this is what I found! One of the egg cases hatched. There are sooo many praying mantids now. I moved some of them into another container. Will have to get them some fruit flies to

Happy Easter from Charles the Bearded Dragon!

Well remember that nice knitted hammock? Charles the bearded dragon decided to show his appreciation for it... by taking a nice big crap on it. And that is why I should have stuck with drawer liners! This

Charles seems to be enjoying his new hammock. It took him a couple days to go near it, but last night he slept on it. Looked comfortable on it. This morning he was still chilling on it.

This weather is insane. Huge snowstorm in March. Snowman and child built in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

My fiance got bored with this scarf she was working on so it was “gifted” to Charles as a new hammock! I hung it on the cool side of his tank using suction cups. He previously had a hammock made out of

Nothing like starting the work week by basking under the heat lamp and gobbling up a ton of crickets for breakfast... at least if you are a bearded dragon. 😜🦎 Happy monday steemians!

Independece Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Visiting some friends in central Pennsylvania. We took a ride to Harrisburg for brunch. Saint Patricks Day Run.

Rural Pennsylvania is so different than Philadelphia.
