I use Qwant.com personally for my searches. I believe Qwant.com is based in France. You can still search in English though. Europe has stronger privacy laws for sure.

This will help fees but I doubt it will ever be as low as BNB, at least not until Ethereum switches partially to POS. This would probably never happen without competition from BNB though.

I value decentralization but the fees are just too high on Ethereum. Plain and simple. It's not a knock on Ethereum, it's just reality. Not everyone is a whale.
