Hello everyone dear #Hive friends!.... Welcome to another edition of my street photography series "Stolen Stories" made as always in monochromatic format and to be my entry to today's #monomad challenge....
¡Hola a todos queridos amigos de #Hive!... Bienvenidos a otra edición de mi serie de fotografía callejera "Historias Robadas" realizada como siempre en formato monocromático y para ser mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy...
"The child at the door "... Well, I don't think I need to explain why I took this picture. I was just walking down the street and that little boy was there as if to say: "Take a picture of me, I look perfect for black and white" and CLICK!... I shot instinctively, knowing I had a wonderful picture to take home and edit later on!
"El niño en la puerta"... Bien, creo que no necesito explicar porqué hice esta foto. Yo simplemente caminaba por la calle y ese pequeño niño estaba allí como diciendo: "Hazme una foto, luzco perfecto para blanco y negro" y ¡CLICK!... ¡Disparé por instinto, sabiendo que tenía una foto maravillosa para llevar a casa y editar más tarde!.
"Willy again"... Gee, every time I meet this charming little guy on the streets of the neighbourhood, he seems to be doing something new to try his parents' patience. This time I found him carrying cans and pieces of rusty iron with him. I asked him: Willy? What are you going to do with all that? and he answered: "I'll take it home to sell it to the man who is buying iron in his truck, so I'll have money to buy sodas"... What an enterprising boy!... Although I suppose his mother will faint when she sees him come in with that load of rusty and possibly dangerous metal!... Well, he certainly is a very clever boy, for indeed, sometimes during the week, people come by in their old lorries buying old iron for the metal reclaimers.... One thing is for sure, Willy has the mentality of an entrepreneur!
"Nuevamente Willy"... Caray, cada vez que encuentro a este encantador chiquillo en las calles del vecindario, parece estar haciendo algo nuevo para agotar la paciencia de sus padres. Esta vez le he encontrado llevando consigo latas y trozos de hierros oxidados. Le he preguntado: Willy... ¿Que piensas hacer con todo eso? y él me ha contestado: "Lo llevaré a casa para venderlo al señor que pasa comprando hierros en su camión, así tendré dinero para comprar gaseosas"... ¡Vaya un chico emprendedor!... ¡Aunque supongo que su madre se desmayará cuando le vea entrar con esa carga de metal oxidado y posiblemente peligroso!... Bien, lo cierto es que es un chico muy inteligente, pues ciertamente, algunas veces durante la semana, suelen pasar personas en sus viejos camiones comprando hierros viejos para las recuperadoras de metales... Algo es seguro ¡Willy tiene mentalidad de empresario!.
"Joel "... This is Joel and he greeted me in the street and asked me: "Are you the man who takes photos and publishes them? I said yes and then he asked me to take a portrait of him and to publish it on my networks because he and his mum follow me... This is a nice thing that happens to me very often now!... And so this is the portrait of young Joel!
"Joel"... Este es Joel y me ha saludado en la calle y me ha preguntado: ¿Usted es el señor que toma fotos y las publica?... Le he dicho que sí y entonces me ha pedido que le hiciera un retrato y que lo publicase en mis redes pues él y su mamá me siguen... ¡Esto es algo lindo que ahora me pasa con mucha frecuencia!... ¡Y entonces este es el retrato del joven Joel!
"Grandma Maria"... Wow, when I saw Maria sitting in the street with two of her grandchildren, I knew I would have the opportunity to take a very touching photo, because Maria has always been a very transparent person with very good feelings... She worked in our house as a maid and took care of one of my sisters when my mother worked as a teacher, so I have known Maria since I was a child and every time I meet her in the street we talk at length reminiscing about old times. She is still my mother's friend and sometimes goes to visit her, but this time I was able to photograph her in this beautiful "loving grandmother" role.
"La abuela María"... Caray, cuando observé a María sentada en la calle junto a dos de sus nietos, supe que tendría la oportunidad de hacer una foto muy emotiva, pues María siempre ha sido una persona transparente y de muy buenos sentimientos... Ella trabajó en nuestra casa como empleada doméstica y cuidó a una de mis hermanas cuando mi madre trabajaba como profesora, así que conozco a María desde que soy un niño y cada vez que la encuentro en la calle hablamos largamente recordando viejos tiempos. Ella sigue siendo amiga de mi madre y a veces va a visitarla, pero esta vez la pude fotografiar en esta hermosa función de "abuela amorosa".
"María's grandson"... This little boy who appears in some of my photos regularly is one of Maria's grandchildren (the loving grandmother in the previous photo) and is the son of "Guachi" a good friend and son of Maria whom I still can't photograph, because every time I meet him I don't have my camera with me... But I did take a good picture of this little boy with his skate!
"El nieto de María"... Este chiquillo que suele aparecer en algunas de mis fotos con regularidad es uno de los nietos de María (la abuela amorosa de la foto anterior) y es hijo de "Guachi" un buen amigo e hijo de María al quien sigo sin poder fotografiar, pues cada vez que lo encuentro no estoy llevando mi cámara conmigo... ¡Pero a este chiquillo sí que le he hecho una buena foto con su patinete!.
"Returning from the countryside"... A photograph in what I usually call the "typical village style"... In the centre you can see Miguél (shirtless) accompanying two friends who are returning from the fields after working all day, on their bicycles acting as "carts" for bunches of bananas... I love to see and photograph these scenes, it is as if time does not run in this village!
"Retornando del campo"... Una fotografía dentro de lo que suelo llamar el "estilo típico del pueblo"... En el centro se ve a Miguél (sin camisa) acompañando a dos amigos quienes vuelven del campo, después de laborar todo el día, en sus bicicletas haciendo las veces de carretillas para racimos de plátanos... ¡Amo ver y fotografiar estas escenas, es como si el tiempo no corriese en este pueblo!
"Fernando's sleeping cat"... I'm sure these have been some of the funniest pictures I've taken in recent days!... My friend Fernando's cat usually climbs up to a window overlooking the street and there he sleeps in such a way that waking him up is practically impossible.
"El gato durmiente de Fernando"... ¡Estoy seguro que estas han sido algunas de las fotos más divertidas que he hecho en días recientes!... El gato de mi amigo Fernando acostumbra a subirse a una ventana la cual da hacia la calle y allí duerme de tal manera que, hacerle despertar es prácticamente imposible.
Vehicles honking, people talking, dogs barking.... But nothing seems to be able to stop this sleepy feline from interrupting his nap (which can last practically all day, according to my friend Fernando). 😻😊
Pasan por allí vehículos sonando el claxon, personas hablando, los perros le ladran... Pero nada parece poder lograr que este dormilón felino interrumpa su siesta (la cual puede durar prácticamente todo el día, según me dice mi amigo Fernando). 😻😊
