In Detroit? Maybe they should have made it Los Angles instead, both have high crime, but LA has the tech, just saying. Either way it is an interesting look at the future, which may be closer than we think.

The one worth watching. Yes, this is the one with Arnie, and the better of the two, in my opinion. Here we have Arnie playing a man that wants to visit Mars has he keeps dreaming about it for some reason

Hmmm, not quite. Keaton doesn't do it for me in this film, which is a shame as Jack Nicholson is always worth watching. I even like the way the story is told with minimal CGI. In the end however, I just

One of the earlier Jackie Chan films. This film shows some of comic style that Jackie would later refine and make his own. He wasn't quite there in this film so it is more of a serious/traditional style

One of Brandon Lee's last films. This movie did reasonably well at the cinema, and it has elements in there for most people. It may have been trying to be something for everybody as it does contain romance,

An unlikely Hero. Another top class animation from Dreamworks, it is in the same league as the first Shrek movie. The other half likes this movie just as much, so we have probably seen it half a dozen

Unlikely Partners. The concept isn't anything new, two opposites being forced to work together as partners grow together and learn to respect each other. Both having strengths where the other is lacking

A Silent Submarine. A "simple" man solves the puzzle of the Red October. This movie manages to put the people at it's centre not the technology. Hence, the movie has a more emotional feel and

Six shots or only five? An original no nonsense tough cop role. The sort of person that wants the results and if a few rules or bones get broken so be it. Someone that is prepared to go where the evidence

Graphic Novel to movie. Not all graphic novels that are brought across to the big screen are done well. Thankfully this was done well, very well, and it didn't have a mega budget. The movie still manages

More Manga. This is arguably better than the original, the characters in the film are very well done. Like a lot of Manga movies the drawings are a dark style, however they are also very detailed and it

Yes, Bruce Lee. He is arguably at his best in this movie, and he had some creative control over it. Because of this he did impart some of his philosophy into the movie. Most obvious when he teaching a

One of the best 007 movies with Sean Connery. This one of the better Bond movies as it isn't over the top or taking itself too seriously. There isn't the feeling of when is the next action sequence going

Almost an anti-hero, hero. This film is rather notable in that there wasn't a lot of killing occurring, most of the people that Rambo deals with are left alive. When you add to that the minimal amounts

Is anything set in stone? That is one of the questions raised by this movie, one of the other ones is do the end justify the means. Of course if your not that interested in these questions there is plenty

Sent to Earth to Protect it, maybe. This is a somewhat quirky movie, it did have some not so typical Hollywood imagination and creativity applied, this was also reflected in the colours and costumes we

A few against many. The fight/action scenes are why you see this film. Yes the story of the few against the many is a good one, just don't expect it to be 100% accurate factually. A brief history lesson

Think of 007 but rated R. There is a very good reason that this is rated as R. They don't hold a lot back, there violence is over the top and there is a lot of it. This means that if you are easily offended

One more job. Why is it in so many movies that everyone is always doing one more job (their last job) and things go wrong? I have lost count of how many movies use this. Put that aside and the music really

Use criminals for good? This movie was quite a thing given the amount of censorship that was in place at the time of it's release (1967). It did cause a number of critics to write unfavourable reviews.
