From daytime footage, we found a new Sunspot along with the old. They weren't listed on spaceweather.com or Raben at the time. So tonight we had dual cameras, a 35% waxing Crescent, Venus, & Jupiter

My goodness, this took too long to review, edit together and process (lol). Two cameras used, the Nikon P900 for close-ups of the Crescent, and the Canon 80D with the Ninja Flame recorder for the others.

It was good to see the Crescent again but wish I would've grabbed the Nikon P900 for it - ah well. 9:04pm to 9:48pm Friday June 15, 2018, NE Ohio, 69°F - WNW & SE Sky ~Jayling (Ohio is in the Eastern

To aid these aging eyes, I'm trying out the Atomos Ninja Flame 4k 7" monitor/recorder. It was difficult to find any information about using the Canon 80D with this unit because it's an unsupported

A whole gambit tonight of wandering stars. We start with Jupiter in the SE, over to Venus in the West, and then a look at the Stars of Libra, Spica and Arcturus. 3 hours later of editing, I decided to

It seems like forever since I last uploaded anything. Reasons varied from rainy days to clouds, then having technical issues and Jayling ones too, like forgetting to hit the record button one clear night

Sorry for the length but we zeroed in on a bunch of other stars tonight using the Canon 80D with the Tamron 18-400mm lens. 9:14 to 9:45pm Tuesday June 5, 2018, NE Ohio, 55°F - SE & WNW Sky ~Jayling

My oh my, it's getting worse each day here in this neighborhood. Anyway, a quick look at Jupiter and down below those Stars of Libra (Zubenelgenubi). 8:59 to 9:30pm Sunday June 3rd, 2018, NE Ohio, 68°F

Just a few pieces from Saturday night of some cool footage of the Libra Stars down below Jupiter to its 5 o'clock position (differing opinion here) and an incredible view of a possible binary star system

This poor little bugger appeared like he couldn't find his hidey hole to get back out and seemed to be a bit distressed by pacing the fence. This is the first time I've ever seen a groundhog in my backyard

Saturn has been back in the night sky for awhile now, but it's the first I've filmed it since possibly last year. The ringed planet came out very orange maybe because it was next door neighbors with the

The Full Moon (99.6% lit) was yellow in the humid hazy sky with an orange halo around it as the night went on. Jupiter and Venus break through but didn't come out well. 9pm, Monday May 28, 2018, NE Ohio,

Here's the gist of the monologue I rambled on about that got cut out of last night's video. Yesterday, weather reporting agencies weren't matching up with my own station, but today they were somewhat closer.

Apologies for the length but with running 2 cameras it became difficult to edit down and piece together. Jupiter and the 98% Moon were side by side and then Venus and a Star from Gemini labeled Mebsuta

It was moving at a fast clip from the SE to the ENE going out of frame quickly like a plane does. No engine noise heard. Upon review of the footage, the 'dome' above it reminded me of a hot air balloon

Finally a few stars! Arcturus & Spica show up in the SE near the Moon. Sirius is in the daytime sky and is gone for now until later in the year, the last I filmed of it was on May 2nd. 8:47 to 9:30pm,

Finally a few stars! Arcturus & Spica show up in the SE near the Moon. Sirius is in the daytime sky and is gone for now until later in the year, the last I filmed of it was on May 2nd. 8:47 to 9:30pm,

Hoping you all have clear skies for this coming Sunday evening May 27th as the 98% lit Moon and Jupiter will be neighbors that night. 80% Moon, Venus, & Jupiter tonight: 8:44 to 9:20pm, Thursday May

I almost didn't put this up but the nuisance mosquitoes insisted! (lol) 8:41 to 9:12pm, Wednesday May 23, 2018, NE Ohio, 71°F - South, WNW and SE Sky ~Jayling (Ohio is in the Eastern Time Zone) -Nikon

I wasn't even set up yet but hit record immediately upon seeing by eye an aircraft with something up above it at the 11 o-clock position, sorta like it was leading the other but with no trail and staying
