A look at Thursday's Ohio Sky with a horde of stuff scooting around up there. Some short clips of Jupiter and Saturn from last night's footage, plus some wider star & planet photos. A bit of a ramble

Forgive me, had just woke up and didn't have coffee yet when hearing about the new upcoming release of the Nikon P1000 with it's massive zoom. The P1000 will have 4k recording and RAW, plus a lens ring

Over the last several days, the size of the Moon has appeared like a tiny speck in the sky visually and not just from the camera compared to days in the past. Something seems off. Maybe it's me from lack

The daytime flybys were so numerous this afternoon it was trippy! (lol) Footage of the planets on Saturday and Sunday didn't come out as well as Friday evening. Maybe it was due to atmospheric conditions

There will be a Supermoon Partial Solar Eclipse on Friday the 13th, but only seen in Southern Australia and Antarctica. Then on July 27th, there is a Total Lunar Eclipse, the longest for the 21st century,

Just a bit of testing with the Kenko 2x teleconverter on the Tamron 18-400mm lens. When using the Canon 80D, it has a 3x-10x Digital Zoom, so the 400mm lens was 800mm, and then 2400mm with 3x digital zoom,

eh, I'm not very happy with it but it's all I have. Got some crazy neighbors around here, was ducking and dodging the incomings but was safe, the sound made it seem like they were about to tag me (lol).

It's cool to see the different tilt angle of Saturn from when it was rising in the SE at 9:30pm and then later in the SSW at 2:10am. A side-by-side view is included around 4:49 in. Jupiter, Venus &

We got Mars - Finally! (lol) The 14 point Sunburst was a cool shot from a screen-capture during an afternoon video. Then onto the evening with Jupiter leading the way, the teardrop/oblong Venus, then that

The clouds cleared out for a good viewing night here. 3 planets and a Moon but just couldn't stay out any longer to wait on Mars - another night hopefully. The thumbnail shows a cool flare reflection above

Sorry for the length, but I kinda rambled on about this that and everything (lol). 3:11pm, Thursday June 28, 2018, NE Ohio, 90°F - Western Sky ~Jayling (Ohio is in the Eastern Time Zone) -Canon 80D with

At :32 seconds there is an aircraft right smack next to the other airplane. One craft after the next following similar paths in front of the Sun seems to be the theme of the day. I want to thank everyone

Sorry it's so late, but it took nearly 10 hours from filming, reviewing, editing, processing and uploading -- phew! From my vantage point, I can't film a horizontal moon because it has to rise way above

Sorry for the length but I went on a cloud hunt (lol). 8:02pm, Sunday June 24, 2018, NE Ohio, 71°F - SE Sky ~Jayling (Ohio is in the Eastern Time Zone) -Canon 80D with Tamron 18-400mm Lens -Atomos Ninja

Yesterday's Sunspots were the New ones, but today we have New New ones along with the old ones still journeying around. Neither Raben or spaceweather have the New ones listed but at least Raben has
