Community Market at Section 30 this weekend!
Hello Friends,
Community Market is a great place to get an idea of what people are selling. There is a wide variety of items, ranging from clothes to books to trinkets. You never know what you'll find, which makes it a fun place to browse.
Every other Sunday, the bar I help out at hosts a community market. This week the vendor's funds were going towards "Paws of Compassion" a local animal shelter rescue and pet clinic. Each vendor paid 250,000 VND (About $10.75) for a booth space at the market. That money goes towards helping the animal shelter. So So so cool!
The day started off rainy, like a LOT of rain. OMG, the downpour was a bit intense. But as the sky dried up and the sun started to come out, the people, the tourists, and locals started to show up.
As I do... I took a few photos of the market... I don't think they are National Geographic level of Badass... Nah, but still, they capture some of the energy and fun, or at least I think so. Lol
Inside is all the craft vendors as you can see from this table of things and trinkets.
There were also a lot of smiles from vendors. At first, they were not that happy (*RAIN) but when the sun came out, so did their smiles.
The market did fill up as well with guests. All in all, I do think it was a success.
This was a table of all organic products that you can use as deoridant, or tintures to heal wounds and such.
In this photo right here, this is my attempt at being a creative photographer.
Lol, these ladies were fun. While I did not have a shop this time, I did help one of my friends with theirs for a little bit, and (*not realizing) these 2 were vendors, I tried to sell them things. So every time I walked past their table after, they tried to sell me things too. Bahwhahahahha.
These were a BIG hit. Donuts sell out every time... so business model, donuts... always donuts.
Also, Noodles and nuts did good.. go figure.. noodles and nuts, why? I don't pretend to know the vast crazy world of the inner workings of the mind.
This is the stand I was helping at... Hahaha. knitted things and such.
All in all, the community markets are fun, they are an interesting experience, and this one had the goal of helping pets. So, WOOT!
