I've tried Pathfinder, I've played a lot of D&D 5E, and I like Savage Worlds. My favorite is the Fantasy Flight Games narrative dice system, though. It's in their generic Genesys rules and the Star Wars RPG. It uses custom d6, d8, and d12 dice with special symbols and blank faces which tally not only successes and failures, but also complications. They have charts to convert standard numbered dice if you don't want to buy theirs, and a free app for digital dice, too. And the app covers polyhedrals for D&D pretty well as a bonus.
