Yes, God did say that, and He also gave us the option to repent. If gouging your eyes is easier for you than repenting, then I suppose gouging your eyes would be your last resort. However, I don't believe it will save you because choosing to hurt yourself instead of accepting and reflecting on your sins indicates that you still have a hard and disobedient heart. BTW I just wanna know, are you a non believer?
