En este Mundial apoyé a dos selecciones. La primera fue Argentina, porque casi toda mi familia la apoya y yo también quería ver a Lionel Messi conquistar lo que probablemente sería su último Mundial. La segunda fue Portugal, ya que allí estaba Cristiano Ronaldo, el máximo referente de mi equipo favorito, el Real Madrid. Cristiano es el máximo goleador histórico del club y siempre me ha impresionado la disciplina, el profesionalismo y el nivel con el que sigue jugando a su edad. Esas eran mis dos selecciones favoritas desde el comienzo del torneo.

Writing about a World Cup is like reliving everything that happened over the course of a month: countless memories, intense emotions, and a deep sense of nostalgia. Every FIFA World Cup leaves unforgettable moments, but it also marks the farewell of great footballers who have made history.
During this World Cup, I supported two national teams. The first was Argentina, because almost my entire family supports them, and I also wanted to see Lionel Messi win what was probably his last World Cup. The second was Portugal, since Cristiano Ronaldo was still there, the greatest icon of my favorite club, Real Madrid. Cristiano is the club's all-time leading scorer, and I have always admired his discipline, professionalism, and the incredible level he continues to display at his age. Those were my two favorite teams from the very beginning of the tournament.
What I loved most about Argentina was watching them fight until the very last match. I admired their resilience and their ability to never give up. At many moments, I felt that fighting is simply part of their DNA. Several of their matches were incredibly exciting and made me believe in them until the final minute.
I am also very happy that I had the opportunity to watch Messi play what will most likely be his final World Cup. I still hope he continues with the national team for a little longer and perhaps plays in another Copa América, although that decision will depend entirely on him.
Now I believe a new chapter begins for Argentina. It will be a period of change in their style of play, mentality, and way of competing. The biggest challenge will be learning how to play without Messi. To achieve that, new leaders and players capable of taking on that enormous responsibility will have to emerge and write the next chapter in the history of La Albiceleste.
There are two other national teams that come to mind when I think about this World Cup. The first is Cape Verde, a team that many people expected to be heavily defeated and considered the weakest side in its group. However, they ended up becoming one of the toughest teams to beat and even qualified for the next stage.
