I agree the earn via steem isn't the right approach. It just sets the bar too high with expectations. I see it more as an ecosystem. You want to play, well you need a Steem wallet and off you go. You will

Yes I agree this is the time to collect Steem, but I cannot where I am. I can only earn it within the ecosystem. There I am not complaining one little bit :)
