HODL AS A VERB!?

I'm having some major issues using hodl as a verb. Here are a few problematic sentences:

1. I've hodled all year long.
2. I hedl throughout 2018.
3. I like to hodl (hoddle?).

Intuitively, I want to add more 'd's in past tense.
Drives me nuts.
