Sorry about the downvote. I set up an automation yesterday and somehow it downvoted you. Mysterious. Anyway, I removed the downvote (and the automation) and upvoted your post. Very good post.

I think you're combining ideas about racism and racial prejudice. They aren't the same thing. Most people use the word racism when they are talking about racial prejudice. People in general are a prejudiced

I would argue that refusing to see race when clearly others are using race in their decision making is where the race filter is being applied.

I think you're interpreting the argument in reverse. It's not to say that the white murderer should have been killed. It's to say the black men who had committed far lesser crimes (if any crime at all)

Very interesting. Thanks for the comments here and for your post, which I just commented on.

This is an excellent post! I still believe in incrementalism and support the newly energized Defund the Police movement, but I hear you in having your focus on the larger frame. I would still urge you

Why have I taken up real estate in your head? Do you really want me there?

NM has become my absolutely favorite HIVE community. Rockin' it! Love you all. ❤️

But is it really black people behind this push? Does the average black person truly want all images of black people to be removed from brands, popular culture, and even history? Thanks for acknowledging

I already quoted you on YOUR actual post, which in case you missed it, is NOT this post from someone who I'm sure would rather you take your damage somewhere other than her post's comments thread. Do you

Dude you seriously need to get over your obsession with me. It isn't healthy. Get a therapist.

Okay. I got you then. Two can play that game.

Well said. Thanks for your clarity.

You make 'em the way I like 'em. Yum!

What is your damage? Downvoting is an appropriate response to over-valued content. That's the purpose of the feature being on the platform, so it's not wrong to use it for that. And I already told you
