be it a game addiction, social media addiction or the drugs and so on. It all counts and have been impacting people lives all the time.
Nowadays that addiction is all about social media and it isn't even funny at this point cause what do you mean people wouldn't believe they're addicted while averaging 10hrs+ screen time on their devices everyday.
Our monkey mind is so starved of the dopamine that we get when we receive interactions and engagements from random strangers on the internet on your social media apps.
It isn't the Cortisol spike that you should be worried about but the spike in your neurones when you're getting those reactions all from a post you posted or the comment that you've made on someone's post.
In my case I've been the victim of both things and at this point I don't care much about engagement, interactions with other on social media but I've been doomscrolling for the love of the game.
At some point everyone do realise that they are addicted and social media isn't just killing their time but also stealing a lot of opportunities from people, you could've done something productive but you've decided to waste that time on internet.
The worse kind of addiction is the one where you don't realise that you're addicted, you've convinced yourself it isn't addiction.
You try to pull yourself away but the more you do more you find yourself stuck in it. I have to give absolute damn respect to the people who we're addicted to the worse things like porn or drugs and gaming kind of stuff.
Coming out of those things without ruining yourself and life is something to be proud off. We don't know for how long someone is addicted to something, but from inside that addiction is kind of eating them but also quitting it would seem impossible as if they're hungry and starving for the food.
I used to be into gaming, the kind of addict that would even dream games but it's done and dusted for too long now and how that happened was just realising it isn't worth it and there's better things to do out there.
Nowadays it is quite same with the internet, I don't find myself active all the time just rarely after work and when I can't sleep. It is better for you all to realise what you're addicted with and sort it out soon before it ruins you and your life and respect to the one's who've been and are out of it.
