Week 3 brings enough headline games to make up for the sneaky week 2 we just witnessed. The top 3 are all on the road vs ranked opponents. Things could shake up some across the college football landscape this weekend.
Florida St(-3)vs Louisville
Noon ET kickoff that consist of 3 possible Heisman candidates, QBs Lamar Jackson and Deondre Francois, along with FSU RB Dalvin Cook. This ACC matchup is the only game this weekend between 2 top 10 teams. Derwin James has been ruled out vs the Cardinals. If youre a Seminoles fan, James was thought to be the one to stop Lamar Jackson.
Alabama(-11)vs Ole Miss
The Tide and the Rebels open up SEC play vs each other on Saturday. Ole Miss has won this game the last 2 seasons. This years Mississippi team probably doesnt have the talent and expierence of the team from the past 2 seasons. The lack of depth on defense and not having a strong rushing attack is a concern for the Rebels. However, with Chad Kelley at QB Ole Miss feels they have a fighting chance.
Ohio St(-3)vs Oklahoma
Although they lost week 1 vs UH, the Sooners can get back in the playoff hunt this weekend with a win against Ohio St. Much easier said than done. Oklahoma has issues on its offensive line. In the game vs Houston, Baker Mayfield had no time for a play to develope before the Cougars rush was getting to him. Ohio St comes into Norman with one of the countries best QBs, JT Barrett. We'll see if the Buckeyes can proves its dominance of lessor competition isnt just a mirage.
Other notable games to look out for:
Pitt vs Oklahoma St(-6) Texas A&M vs Auburn(-3.5) Michigan St vs Notre Dame(-7.5) Texas(-8.5)vs Cal
