The Japanese say you have 3 faces. The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends and your family. The third face, you never show anyone. It is however the truest reflection of who you are. I come to you people of Steemit because I believe this proverb/saying speaks real truths and has stuck with me in my mind.

The purpose of me writing this is because I have a moral and social dilemma.  Firstly, I’m going to tell you very briefly about myself without going into detail (this is part of the dilemma) and then what I’m contemplating on doing as I believe that I have a truly interesting story to tell. Secondly, I would like to say that I’m not by any means blowing my own trumpet here about how awesome or amazing I am, I am just a pretty average guy who has happened to live through a whole bunch of things, this is neither a sob story or a cry for attention. But rather a crazy fucking adventure that I believe is worth sharing and maybe, just maybe inspire a few people. I can’t stress this second point enough, because despite the ups and downs I know that people have endured far harder times than I have and I am only grateful for the life I have.

My story is a long one and I believe it is still ongoing, especially in the world of Crypto-Currency right now. In past 10 years, I have lived through an awful lot, basically since the 2008 crash life has been an infinite loop of 1 punch to the face followed by a kiss to make it better. As I said previously, I don’t want to go into details so I think what I’ll do is summarise with a long list of words:

Family, Desperation, Pain, Mental illness, Struggle, Violence, Money, Perseverance, Police, Hope, Hardship, Friends, Best Friends, Confusion, Togetherness, Soul Searching, Confidence, Happiness, Euphoria, High Risk, High Return, Crime, Love, Parties, Raves, Overworked, Challenged, Lies, Fuck ups, Immense Pressure, Self-Doubt, Betrayal, Deceit, Poverty, Determination, Depression, Pursuit of Knowledge, Achievement, Crypto-Currency, Acceptance, Skeletons.

These are some things that have been in my life, either about me or that has affected me via family or close friends.

So here is my dilemma, I have been told many times by lots of people that I could write a book about what I have lived. It has always been said in a joking expressional kind of way, but I do feel inspired to tell this story.

So Steemit. Should I tell this story? Coming back to the Japanese proverb. Is a story better, purer by revealing your 3rd face? Or is it a self-destructing social Weapon of Mass Destruction? I have always believed that what I did was the wrong thing for the right reasons.

Could you confess to the world all of your deepest secrets, the good & bad, the ugly & the beautiful, the shameful & the inspiring, the lies (that you do for your self-interest but also the ones that protect others) you have told; the things you have done?

I have learnt that lies are amongst some of the heaviest burdens that one can carry, writing a book would release this weight. But that would me revealing my 3rd face…
