RE: Potato Tower 🌱 Part One.
Thanks. When I put more dirt in, some of the dry dirt falls out through the lattice but that gets less and less as the tower grows (dirt not having to fall so far). I am at about waist high now. Stay tuned

RE: Double Repotting Project 🌱 New Carnivorous Plant
They do help with bugs. When I got started with them, I had pinguiculas and they caught the gnats. I then advanced to many other types. You probably lost your grandma's pitcher plants due to the water.

RE: DIY Grow Doubler 🫒 When Up Is Down & Down Is Up.
I use nitrogen, and you are right, because there are limited nutrients in the soil. It looks like you just started here on Hive. Looking at your posts, I see you are off to a spectacular start. Instant

That was my first thought too. "It's not natural." was what I said to myself. But nature finds a way.

RE: DIY Grow Doubler 🫒 When Up Is Down & Down Is Up.
I didn't have much growing up, so I tend to do everything myself. It's what I do. The problem is that I usually forget to take pictures while I am inventing things. This post was like that - I actually

RE: New Greenery 🪴 Ever had one of these before?
I have been so busy lately, I am content if I remember to water them. Lucky it rained the last few days. I will hit you up if I need more help. Thanks @jhelbich

I used that exact method to get more chili peppers and tomatoes. I did not know it would help with these. I am not sure if I will even harvest them because I am happy just looking at them. Maybe I will

It was my first time seeing one in person too. They are beautiful and also fragrant, even without flowers.

What a wonderful place where you live. Reminds me of where I grew up. I played in the creeks every day after school. Growing things there must be very productive and fruitful!

That is so true. I wish I knew what this one is because it made my day when I needed a bit of love.

Well, they grow in moss which has no minerals in it (unless someone dumps mineral water on them). The rain is distilled naturally so that also works for them. If it weren't, we would all be drinking salt

RE: Weekly Garden & Greenhouse Update - by Sunscape
I love your pot towers. Are those connected or just stacked? I had seen a tower-like setup to grow plants in a stack. It had a water pump that went to the top and watered all the pots that were protruding

RE: 🌱 It is easier to buy fresh produce 🌾 and get it to root 🌿 than plant seeds
I had a lot of destruction too during the summer. Where I am I can grow year around but I don't get much sun on my garden in the winter. What question for you. Is it true that if you plant coriander seeds,

I made posts about my tomato plants and I had a lot of luck with them - cherry tomatoes. They're delicious. The problem is that I had a reaction to tomatoes. I had to stop eating them. Those are very easy

RE: The Spider Venus Flytrap
A lot of people talk that way but the plants are harmless just like any other plant. I should do a video of this one and show you how it bites my finger. Feels like eye lashes and there are not muscles

It's called a drocera capensis - otherwise known as a sundew. They attract insects by scent and then when the insect lands on the leaf, it sticks to the sticky dew that's always present.

Thank you for the comment. I usually do not get too many comments. Spring time is in the air and the carnivorous are getting livelier! Hope to be posting more.
