Paso por acá para compartir con ustedes un fabuloso día de playa que disfruté en compañía de mi esposa @morepina e hija @mjpacheco.

Como ya les he relatado en post anteriores, tengo una hija estudiando en Coro, estado Falcón y al acercarse el mes de agosto ya estaba terminando su semestre en la universidad, así que debía buscarla para traerla a Barquisimeto a pasar sus vacaciones con nosotros.

An improvised family beach day

I'm stopping by to share with you a fabulous day at the beach that I enjoyed with my wife @morepina and daughter @mjpacheco.
As I have already told you in previous posts, I have a daughter studying in Coro, Falcón state and as August was approaching she was finishing her semester at the university, so I had to look for her to bring her to Barquisimeto to spend her vacation with us.

Yo pedí permiso en el trabajo para faltar el día viernes y así aprovechar hasta el domingo para dedicarlo al viaje porque es bastante largo, en carro son aproximadamente cinco horas de carretera para llegar a Coro y la carretera tiene muchos baches que hay que sortear con cuidado.

El viernes temprano salimos de Barquisimeto y llegamos a Coro al mediodía, es un viaje bastante agotador pero la hija nos estaba esperando en su residencia y ahí pudimos descansar en su habitación, pues tiene dos camas.

![ENGLISH VERSION] asked for permission at work to be absent on Friday so that I could take advantage of the trip until Sunday because it is quite long, it takes about five hours by car to get to Coro and the road has many potholes that have to be negotiated with care.
Early Friday morning we left Barquisimeto and arrived in Coro at noon, it is a very tiring trip but the daughter was waiting for us at her residence and there we could rest in her room, because she has two beds.

En la tarde, luego de almorzar y descansar, planeamos ir de visita a la península de Paraguaná y alli hacer algunas compras y si nos alcanzaba el tiempo, pasaríamos por la playa a refrescarnos un rato.

Dicen que los viajes improvisados son los mejores, así que al día siguiente muy temprano arrancamos de Coro para Punto Fijo, ubicado aproximadamente a una hora de allí.

La carretera estaba bastante sola y hacía un calor espantoso. pasamos por los médanos de Coro pero no nos detuvimos porque teníamos el tiempo cronometrado para regresar.

El viaje se me hizo un tanto largo porque hacía tiempo no viajaba a ese lugar pero disfruté del paisaje y de la compañía de mi familia. Cuando llegamos a Punto Fijo visitamos unos bodegones donde vendían de todo y a precios razonables. Allí compramos algunos víveres y unos licores y como todavía era temprano, decidimos ir a la playa de Villa Marina a sugerencia de mi esposa, que se encuentra mas allá de Punto Fijo.

![ENGLISH VERSION]In the afternoon, after lunch and rest, we planned to visit the Paraguaná peninsula and there do some shopping and if we had time, we would go to the beach to cool off for a while.
They say that improvised trips are the best, so early the next day we left Coro for Punto Fijo, located about an hour away.
The road was quite lonely and it was terribly hot. We passed by the sand dunes of Coro but we didn't stop because we were on schedule to get back.
The trip was a bit long because it had been a long time since I had been there but I enjoyed the scenery and the company of my family. When we arrived in Punto Fijo we visited some bodegones where they sold everything at reasonable prices. There we bought some groceries and liquors and as it was still early, we decided to go to the beach of Villa Marina at my wife's suggestion, which is located beyond Punto Fijo.

Yo hubiese preferido visitar una playa más cercana pero quise complacerla, aunque la verdad no recordaba el camino para llegar a esa playa debido al tiempo que tenia sin viajar. Me tocó preguntar a varias personas para no equivocar el camino y poder llegar.

Lo cierto es que tuvimos que recorrer aproximadamente cuarenta minutos de carretera luego de Punto Fijo para llega a Villa Marina, y yo pensaba que quedaba mas cerca, pero valió la pena cada minuto de espera para llegar porque la playa estaba sola y el agua estaba fría como para refrescarnos del calor que hace en esa costa Falconiana.

Allí llegamos a eso del mediodía, y pudimos disfrutar del ambiente marino, almorzamos a la orilla del mar y estuvimos un buen rato conversando y recreándonos con el paisaje y con el ruido de las olas. La hija estaba aburrida porque a los jóvenes les gusta hacer algún deporte u otra actividad, pero nosotros nos deleitamos solo con estar ahí disfrutando del paisaje y sintiendo la arena caliente y las olas sobre nuestra espalda.

![ENGLISH VERSION] would have preferred to visit a closer beach but I wanted to please her, although the truth is that I did not remember the way to get to that beach due to the time I had not traveled. I had to ask several people so as not to get the wrong way and to be able to get there.
The truth is that we had to drive about forty minutes after Punto Fijo to get to Villa Marina, and I thought it was closer, but it was worth every minute of waiting to get there because the beach was alone and the water was cold enough to cool off from the heat of the Falconian coast.
We arrived there around noon, and were able to enjoy the marine environment, we had lunch at the seashore and spent a long time chatting and enjoying the scenery and the sound of the waves. The daughter was bored because the young people like to do some sport or other activity, but we enjoyed just being there enjoying the scenery and feeling the warm sand and the waves on our backs.

A eso de las cuatro de la tarde emprendimos el regreso a Coro antes del anochecer para llegar a descansar porque al día siguiente debíamos partir a Barquisimeto.

A pesar del corto tiempo que estuvimos en la laya, fue suficiente para relajarnos del viaje y para compartir en familia un día diferente.

![ENGLISH VERSION] about four o'clock in the afternoon we headed back to Coro before sunset to rest because the next day we had to leave for Barquisimeto.
In spite of the short time we spent on the beach, it was enough to relax from the trip and to share a different day with the family.
