The pandemic heat is going on in every country but that didn’t really hit a lot of people as there were only a percentage of families who felt this, but as the heat of the pandemic increased, the government of countries decided to do one thing to curb the spread before finding a solution and that is what has led to the word The Great Lockdown. The lockdown has led to another recession which most people expected anyways but not in the form.
Several governments decided to pump money into the economy to keep it from sinking as the economic activities of countries stopped abruptly. Several industries from the aviation, manufacturing, retailing and many more were at the verge of sinking thanks to the government who decided to bail out companies.
We all know that bailout isn’t enough, as a lot of companies went out of money and have to lay off workers causing the number of unemployed people in different countries to increase. Although, a lot of government have helped with stipends and relieve funds but in so many country there is nothing like that and this has cripple the standard of living for the people. A lot of us talk about the economy and the businesses collapsing but this businesses are handled by people. While some people are resuming back to work, some others are being lay offed and this is where another problem arises Security.
Living in a country with little care for citizens means you have to find a way to survive the crises and the pandemic as well. While the government didn’t give stipends to people, a lot of people have also lost their job due to the recession and this will lead to increase in crime rate. I have been having trouble at night now for about three weeks as robbers go into home to take peoples belongings. This people come with the notion that they do not have a choice and so you have to cooperate else you end up with a cut on your head or you get shot.
Do you think this recession is about the stock market going deep, companies going bankrupt, employees being sent home increasing the number of unemployed, oil price dropping to a number beyond expectation, travelling being shut down and just reopening gradually and the government bringing regulations about how to cut taxes for people, then you might have missed out on the fact that this recession will cause an increase in crime rate and the earlier there is a way to solve the employment problem, the better for citizens who have a job because they become the target.
