I love birdwatching in all situations. But when the birds bathe in the water, they are all the more funny. Today I saw several times how jackdaws and rooks swam in puddles. It's like they're having a bathing day. Upon returning home, I read it on the Internet - it turns out that there is a sign. If birds bathe in puddles in spring, then good weather will continue. What a wonderful omen! I've been longing for the warmth of spring.
Went on business. I took my camera with me just in case. Though I didn't expect it to be useful. But suddenly I saw a jackdaw bathing in a puddle. She was so funny that I couldn't resist and started taking photos of her and making videos.
Is it possible to pass indifferently past such a miracle!
On the way back, I saw other birds in another place - rooks and jackdaws. They also swam in puddles. There were already several of them.
First they started swimming in a puddle of jackdaws. Then the rooks joined them.
The birds not only bathed, some of them drank the water. Although there was still unmelted snow nearby. It is much cleaner than dirty water in a puddle. But, apparently, the birds really missed the water on land during the winter, and they were very happy with the puddles.
Rooks tried to dominate, but they failed. They drove the jackdaws away to take their own place in the puddle. But jackdaws are bold and active birds. They were not going to give in to the rooks. They continued to splash in the water.
How little is needed for happiness! For example, it is enough for birds to swim in a puddle in early spring.

Rooks are larger than jackdaws in size. Such a shallow puddle is not enough for them. But still, the rooks stubbornly tried to swim in the puddle. They succeeded a little. Feathers are still wet.
But I liked the jackdaws in a puddle more. They were playing so funny. Only spray scattered in all directions.
Finally, the jackdaws and rooks stopped quarreling. There was a place for everyone in the puddle. Other birds were peacefully waiting for their turn.
Today, for the first time in March, the temperature has risen. Finally real spring weather. Even though it's still cold at night. But during the day the temperature rose to 0 degrees. The bright warm sun shone and the snow began to melt abundantly. To the delight of the birds, puddles appeared on the streets.
