I had gotten this song on my playlist for many years, and I still have goosebumps each time I listen to it. It always felt brand new and relevant. The lyrics, the voice of Shayne Ward, and all the performance throughout are something I can never get enough of.
But the defining moment was when my husband had it played on our wedding day, I never saw it coming, we talked about our songs for the day, and I even picked some but I never knew he had added one of my all time favorite until I heard it when we were both dancing. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life, hearing that song, dancing and holding hands, it was as if the time should just stop for that moment to last much longer.
Shane Ward is an amazing singer, who is capable of mesmerizing you and taking you on a beautiful journey with his music. I had loved his many songs for a while now but Breathless is still my all-time favorite.
I first heard it in 2015 and immediately I was so connected I knew right there that it will always have a special place in my heart, Like till death do us apart kind of lol. And now is been several years and I'm still rooting for it.

My second song of defying moment is a Disney Moana challenge,"How far I will go" a beautiful song by Alessia Cara.
You know there are times we all have this voice in our head telling us to be real, defy the set rules followed by everyone, and just kept to our real selves. I felt this many times, and sometimes I felt like oh! What's wrong with me? Sometimes I wanted to fall inline so badly but this voice will kept on drawing me close to something more real and not some laydown designs, something more deeper you know?
Listing to the lyrics of this song, made me embrace my real self the more, I realized that I'm not alone and that it is okay to push myself beyond the known to the unknown.
Another thing I love about Alessia in this video is how less of makeup she put on, and she is just herself and still very beautiful.
This song kind of meant a great deal to me, as I have struggled most of the time, to push myself beyond the norm of the society and my environment, it kind of tells me is okay, as this is where my greatness always comes from, which I never for once regretted doing. This song is on my playlist and it always gives me some kind of assurance in all my 'oh, what's wrong with me time'.
