Funny, how different countries, yet same methods. My mom taught me to use the blue soap for socks and underwear and to wash by hand. I've done that religiously for years, until I stopped one day. I'm like "why wash separately by hand if there's a washing machine?

So true. Quite similar. White clothes were soaked, washed, coated with blue cake soap, put in a transparent bag and left in the sun before they were washed again. They were sparkling white after all that. Right now… I just can’t. Lol! Socks were hand washed. I actually can't remember having socks problems then. Hmmm... lol!!
