Been lurking around for some time now and decided to create an account yesterday as i really dig the concept of this platform.
I have been reading a lot of tutorial but i still have a few questions.
Can someone describe what happens behind the scenes ( UI) when i buy steem through steemit.com? is this process also decentralized?
What happens to my yearly reward if i power down some of my steem power before the end of the year?
Does steem power yearly reward comes from steem mining?
Wouldn't reward per post decrease as number of user/post grows ? Wouldn't supply need to increase perpetually to reward platform's users?
Can the steem blockchain handle millions of users/tx without compromsing decentralisation? In other words can it scale?
I noticed that people's wallet are visible to anyone, isn't this a major privacy issue? blackmail,etc.. will it be possible to hide this info or is this how the system was designed to work?
I know that's a lot of questions, any input appreciated.
On a side note, private messaging between users would be a great feature to add.
