Man! It sure does. I haven't done hugelkultur per se, but we have used a fair amount of fire wood buried here and there haha. We also used to use firewood as borders for raised beds.

If you can grow grass, you can grow food!! We will eventually mulch in between to help choke out the grass and weeds for easy up keep. There are so many options of growing when we can get past the idea
