Hey Steemers - the only way that one can get freedom in this world is by building it for yourself.
The following is an incomplete list that I will be tweaking later. But here it goes...
24 Ways to Build Freedom in Your Life
- develop multiple streams of income
- network with others who share your values (build a list and keep in contact)
- save in gold, silver, and cryptocurrencies, instead of government money
- have enough fiat cash for 3 months expenses on hand (those insolvent banks might close)
- buy offshore real estate if you can get it cheap (the fortunes of the first world and the 3rd world just might flip)
- get a second passport / citizenship
- become an entrepreneur
- incorporate your business offshore
- reduce your belongings to the essentials (too many possessions will come to possess you!)
- terminate unhealthy relationships (this is huge!)
- get a good life coach (like Hannah @ becomingwhoyouare.net)
- walk 10,000 steps every day
- read positive books (such as 'The 80/20 Principle' by Richard Koch)
- employ the 80/20 principle as much as possible in your life.
- write 500 words every day (like here on Steemit.)
- embrace technological change (you certainly can't stop it. so dive in head first)
- don't waste time on 'fear porn' (scrolling down your facebook feed and getting agitated at the injustice)
- don't waste energy on politics or demonstrations. (Ron Paul lost. Let's just build our own society, over here.)
- if you can't say 'Fuck Yeah!' then just say 'No.' (thanks Derek Sivers)
- travel everywhere and collect positive people where you go.
- don't die. keep thin and be the first in the cue for longevity treatments.
- be the first in the cue for space colonization too. (100% freedom might be out there in the black)
- find your passions. follow your passions. don't let the normals normalize you.
- understand that freedom is built. Build.
Thanks for reading my blurb. If you can think of more methods of building freedom please add them in the comments bellow. I would actually love to see other Steemit bloggers posting their own articles on these topics and using the hashtag #build-freedom too. Maybe #build-freedom will become a thing here. :)
To the best of my ability I am going to blog on Steemit about all of the ways I have learned to engineer freedom in my own life. I am not an expert, just a fellow traveler. Although I am not yet 100% free myself, I mean I do follow regulations and pay taxes and reduce my speed when I spot a police car... I am certainly striving to "find freedom in an un-free world" just as the great Harry Browne did.
Anyways, thanks for reading. Peace.
