Lol, I still have my first gun which is a .40 cal muzzle loader rifle that I shot at 7 and did okay with in comps. My Dad has always been a long range sharp shooter so I had a good example.

Then this morning going for grain is was huge and super bright to the west.

I was so very slightly ruing the single shot but it is so handy and easy to handle I can look past the slight difference in reload time.

They are around, sometimes quite close but I don't think they have been on the farm.

I would think that should depend on the time involved for you... If it were to take you an hour that would be one thing but I suspect it would be a number of hours to make.

What are your rates?

In the grand scheme I prefer the western slope of the continental divide. Leeward is almost always drier with less tress. That leaves a shit ton of area to look at as potential.
