I cannot see your cover photo since I have my media turned off now. I turned it off to save my metered wifi time and my STEEM and internet life is so much better now. If and when I ever get regular wifi again, I still will not turn media back on.
No media means I do not see your section breakers, footers, gifs, and all other pretty things you have on your post. And when I go to your profile, the top of it is white with whatever text you have there. Your round profile photo disk is gray.
The amazing thing is how much time this saves. It was apparent immediately when I made the change. Pages load faster, of course, but my reading time for your post is much faster too. When I am not distracted by pretty things running down the page, I can get to your point much more quickly and take in the information better too.
I have one browser window open that does show media. I copy the link there if I do want to see your photos for whatever reason. This is usually for food, travel, and posts with copied tables in them when I want to see the numbers. I am always surprised how long these take to load and how much other media is in the post aside from the actual info I want to see. I still will read the text on my “no media” window, and just bounce over to see the photos as needed.
So sorry about the creepy pic canva gave me today for the “cover photo” prompt. After I post this I will not see it again, since I do not see my media either :)
