Real Pain
I decided that I wanted
To learn about some real pain,
So I stuck my hand on the stove
And it hurt but healed again.
Then I thought perhaps I had not
Found what would cut quite deep enough,
I found someone to break my heart,
But even time can heal love.
Than, I studied philosophy,
And found that life was only pain,
So I shut my eyes, closed my ears,
To keep from going insane.
