И вот однажды я увидела спящих божьих коровок в трещине коры на ветке кустарника. | I have never wondered where various insects go in winter, including such beautiful ones as ladybugs. And then one day I saw sleeping ladybugs in a crack in the bark on a bush branch. |

| Это было 1 мая 2021 года. Мы с подругами гуляли вокруг Спасо-Прилуцкого монастыря в Вологде. Самая внимательная из нас замерла около куста, на котором только-только начали открываться почки. На одной из веток зимовали две божьих коровки. | It was May 1, 2021. My friends and I walked around the Spaso-Prilutsky Monastery in Vologda. My friend the most attentive of us froze near the bush, on which the buds had just begun to open. Two ladybugs hibernated on one of the branches. |

Забавно, что одна из них красная с черными точками, а другая – черная с красными точками. | They write that ladybugs often overwinter in entire colonies under fallen leaves or in the bark of trees. There were only two beetles here. It's funny that one of them is red with black dots, and the other is black with red dots. |
