Okay so I am new to steemit i have been playing around the last couple of days and have really started to fall in love with the platform. I have come across interesting stories on Sports, News, Art, crypto you name it and have been able to share my opinion and get payed for it. The concept is absolutely brilliant! The combination of free will and liberation that i feel this platform embodies is purely addicting and i knew i had to be come part of it in the long term.
Only one question slash complaint where is the poetry tag??
Right now i feel the culture of steemit is underlying a bit male brain and techy for the average user i think once adoption hit mainstream this will be even bigger then Facebook if thats possible... or at the very least more influential. I think the platform is so much more then the selling points that are currently being so heavily marketed.
I surround my self everyday with artistic people that create art in many different avenues. I know full time performing artist, composition artists, makeup artists, photographers, but sadly no full time poets. The sad truth is while i see so many aspiring young poetic people out there just isn't much money in it. Its usually taken a backset to whatever jobs needed to maintain financial security. I believe that steemit will become loved adored and appreciated by the poetry community as way to share create and enjoy each other work and i am extremely excited about it.

As i am starting to become more familiar with how the program work i am starting to realize what a game changer this really can become. I have been writing poetry for 6 years performing at local coffee shops school events and even a competition. I have met people who live around the states and have learned so much about them so quickly and so deeply just by hearing one of their poems. It is something i have passion for a will continue to do and can't wait to share what i am learning with all of my peers!
Super grateful to have stumbled upon this platform and can wait to start sharing out of my poetry book hopefully a couple whales will like this post so it can be seen by the big seem heads and grow our platform stronger!
