The sheer scale is difficult to wrap your head around. There was one cage draped in black cloth we passed during the tour and our guide hinted that it was something "big" that hadn't been released

Thank you! Yes, I felt bad that he couldn't experience it too. It was such an important milestone for the company and it was fun to celebrate it with them. My flight home was only delayed by 30min, thankfully.

Thank you! I'm sitting in the airport now waiting to catch my flight (which has been delayed). Unfortunately, no. I had a ticket but the events at Giga Texas ran later than expected so I missed the 7pm

Yes, the government shutdown has disrupted travel and a lot of subsidy programs. I, personally, think this shut downs should be illegal. The only ones who suffer are the citizens.

There are a fair amount of homeless in the downtown area but I never felt unsafe while walking around alone during the day. It was far safer here than in the Twin Cities.
