IMHO the perfect market indicator is the price itself. As you said all the indicators lag and they always are missing something. I prefer to accumulate slowly in downtrends and unload when reaching price

Of course! Check this. Technically, timeframes don't matter (it always depends on your trading activities). However, you shouldn't be trying to predict short term moves. You can still make plenty of money

Inflation doesn't matter if we're all getting our share (or at least inflation didn't matter in 2017). Demand matters, and currently is nonexistent IMHO.
